School of Rock the Musical

School of Rock the Musical, performed by De La Salle College and OLSH College Bentleigh, was a resounding success in its four show run at The Alexander Theatre, Monash University. The performances opened on Thursday 11 May and had the audiences entertained from start to finish with the high energy rock music mixed with heartfelt ballads and the joy of a happily ever after ending for all.

The role of Dewey Finn was nothing short of a role made for him, as his outstanding performance saw him onstage virtually from start to finish. Aria Pisano had the audience captivated by her incredible voice and versatile acting of the unsuspecting Rosalie Mullins. Skyler Sahely and Halle Schroor as Ned Schneebly and Patti Di Marco, seamlessly played the the villains until a change of heart saw Rock and Roll save the day.

No Vacancy was our live on stage band who rocked ‘I’m Too Hot for You’ in a way that was musically strong, engaging and also very funny. The live music from the band was exceptional, keeping the whole production moving, with heightened moments of fun and tension throughout. After all, where is ‘School of Rock’ without the rock and roll?

There are simply too many individuals to name to do credit to the heartfelt vocals and high energy dancing that came together to tell the all-time classic story of ‘School of Rock’.

The Cast, Crew, Musicians and staff should feel exceptionally proud of the show they created, and tremendously privileged to have been able to share it with close to 1500 audience members throughout its run.
